August 1995-Dec. 1998 Awarded a Swedish Cancer Foundation post-doctoral fellowship (1996, renewed 1997) then a Leukemia Research Foundation fellowship (1998) to study the role of DNA methylation in transcriptional control with Dr. Tim Bestor, Dept. of Genetics and Development, Columbia University, New York.
August 1990- May 1995 Recipient of a PhD fellowship from the Karolinska Institute to study development and imprinting in the laboratory of Prof. Rolf Ohlsson and Dr. Gary Franklin. Ph.D. position transferred to Uppsala University with the lab in 1994. Worked June-August 1995 in a postdoctoral capacity.
June 1989-Oct. 1989 American-Irish foundation grant to with Prof. Ray Rodriguez at the Section of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of California, Davis
