Down Syndrome

Ocular aberrations in DS

Previous work by our group has demonstrated significantly reduced optical quality in DS compared to typical children.

Our current PhD project extends our investigations by looking at the differences in higher order aberrations between children with DS and age-matched typically developing children. The study also provides novel normative data on aberrations in typically developing school age children and explores high and low contrast vision in both typical and DS children.
